Years ago when I heard the term Stewardship, I thought it meant participating in committees, working on projects in and for the church, and just being involved. I never realized that Stewardship included financial commitment.

Janet and I were Methodist since 1963, attending Methodist churches in the communities where we lived. We decided four years ago that we needed a change and started looking for churches in our immediate area. We visited LCM previously and decided to check it out. Let me tell you, we looked no further! LCM had everything we were looking for, a great Pastor, great music and great people. We decided to make a commitment and join LCM.

During our membership classes, Stewardship was brought up and I said, “It includes WHAT?” That is how I found out that financial support is part of Stewardship.

To bring this to a close, LCM does not operate on faith alone, nor can it operate on members just giving of their time. It takes a financial commitment from each one of us.

In Christ,
Lee Edmunds

Are you writing a check to Jewel or Dominick’s at the check-out? Why do that when you can purchase certificates on Sunday and write your check to LCM instead. Just by doing this, the church is benefitting.

Stop by in the Fellowship Hall to see what other certificates are available. How about Home Depot or Menard’s if you’re doing home improvements? We always have J.C. Penny, Olive Garden, Chili’s, Speedway and many more.

God bless,
Laurie Goranson
